Welcome to the Yorkshire - South Federation
The Federation was formed in 1983 when the county of Yorkshire was divided into smaller Federations.
There are 44 WIs in South Yorkshire ranging in size from 15 to over 100 members in villages, towns and cities throughout the area. Each WI meets monthly and members can enjoy demonstrations, craft workshops, hear speakers and discuss national issues. The WI offers many diverse activities.
We cover the areas of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
We offer opportunities to make friends in a happy, social atmosphere; sharing educational courses to learn new skills for hobbies or business. With interesting speakers, days out and activities happening nationally, regionally and locally.Once you have joined you will receive a free monthly newsletter - News and Views, to keep you informed of what is going on around the Federation and events and campaigns of interest. Also included in your subscription is a magazine WI Life.
